We’ve all heard the lawyer jokes. Some people like them; some don’t. But whether you make your living as a lawyer or not, the biggest joke is deferring your life because of – or even worse, defining your life by – the problems, the concerns and the headaches du jour. Many lawyers take themselves very seriously. It’s arguably understandable. They have serious work to do. They deal with peoples’ lives every day, with their businesses, with their children and families, with their money.
But regardless of what we do, if we haven’t become the latest lottery winner and if we aren’t active members of the lucky sperm club, we all have problems, concerns and headaches. We all have serious work to do. But we have come to believe that the problems only get worse if you feel you have to – because of the problems – put off the things that may make your life a little bit better.
We don’t offer guarantees nor do we claim to be experts.[1] And we’re not recommending that you do exactly what we’ve done. But by mixing it up a little, hopefully we can offer one or two ideas for vacations, get-aways, recipes, lifestyle suggestions, that may make your life a little bit better; that may make the problems, concerns and headaches a little easier to bear.
